The Priceless Gift
“Every small gift I received from my sponsor encouraged me and helped me reach where I am now”, says Abita. 24-year-old Abita, a formerly sponsored child of World Vision India, is now a primary school teacher. After she was taken into World Vision India’s sponsorship programme in 1997, school soon become her favourite place. And it's still her favourite place where she now teaches children like her and helps them experience transformation.

From Slum to Site Plans
Anusha grew up in Bellary’s Venkataramanagar slum, where opportunities were limited but her dreams were boundless. Through World Vision India’s Child Sponsorship programme, she received educational support, timely guidance, and a laptop that enabled her to continue learning. With determination and hard work, Anusha excelled academically and graduated with honours in Civil Engineering. Her perseverance led her to pursue higher education and secure a position at L&T Pvt. Ltd. Today, she stands as a beacon of hope and resilience, proving that with the right support, even the most challenging circumstances can be transformed into a remarkable success story.

From Small Town Dreams to the Indian Air Force
Ankit, from Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, dreamed of joining the armed forces since Class 8. With minimal resources, his path was uncertain. World Vision India supported him with a bicycle, school bag, and solar light—making school accessible and study possible. Though he faced setbacks after Class 12, Ankit didn’t give up. In 2023, he succeeded in joining the Indian Air Force. For him, wearing the uniform symbolises honour and stability. “World Vision India was like a second family,” he says. His journey proves that with determination and support, even distant dreams can take flight. “Focus and keep moving forward,” he advises.
